COUNSELING SERVICES

Absolutions is a Non-Profit Agency designed to guide individuals & families determined to persevere over Life's Challenges. Our agency is unashamedly based on Christian Principles, however our Licensed Professional Counselors are trained to meet the needs of anyone seeking help regardless of their individual spiritual orientation.

We NEVER impose our personal beliefs on our clients, yet lovingly support their personal spiritual journey toward wholeness

Our experience has taught us that utilizing God's Biblical Absolutes, not secular theories developed by human "experts" is the only GENUINE and lasting way to discover freedom. We fully acknowledge and often employ some theories that have been proven effective, primarily due to inadvertantly utilizing Bilblical Absolutes.

Absolutions operates through your tax deductible donations.

Our goal is to serve God by offering our clients' First Class Therapy delivered by Licensed Professional Counselors at a minimal cost.

Donation fees range from $60.00 to $120.00 which often is less than many insurance co-payments.

{Refer to our sliding scale fee in the documents section.}

ACC provides a sliding-scale to set-up your personal payment fee based on your family income. Upon your request we will provide the documentation for you to apply for repayment through your insurance provider.

Absolutions takes cash, checks, and credit/debit cards via PayPal as acceptable forms of payment. Remember ACC, Inc. is a Faith Based non-profit [501 (c) 3] Agency, with your donations being tax deductible!

Absolutions Counseling Center is a non-profit agency whose purpose is to serve the hearts of hurting individuals in the Montgomery & surrounding areas. We know that life can take us down paths we never intended to go, & sometimes support and encouragement seem nowhere to be found. We have been down some of those roads ourselves, and by the grace of God we are here to offer support to all seeking hope.

Absolutions believes church should be a Spiritual Emergency Room for the lost, hurting, suffering Child of God, not a hotel for saints,

REGARDLESS of their issues.

Absolutions is designed to minister/counsel /support such individuals and their family with God's Love, Grace, and Compassion.

If serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.... As for me and my household, we choose to serve the Lord.

--Joshua 24:15

No one is required to adhere to any traditional religious format, Absolutions is not associated with any denomination. In fact, we find that many of our clients have been spiritually damaged from exposure to 'bad-religiosity' leading them to seek freedom in unhealthy ways. Absolutions uses Biblical Absolutes to lovingly guide God's hurting children to discover their Freedom in Christ.

ABSOLUTIONS ETHICS STATEMENT

(Adopted and adhered to by ACC, Inc. associates)

PREAMBLE

The basis of Absolutions Counseling Center, Inc. is belief in God, the Father, who creates and sustains us; Jesus Christ, the Son, who redeems and rules us; and the Holy Spirit, who guides us personally and professionally, through God’s inspired Word, the Bible, our infallible guide of faith and conduct, and through the communion of Christians.

The Standards are aimed at helping each member apply the message of the Christian faith to his or her professional service. As Christian leaders, we are called to be ethical, not as a legalistic obligation, but as part of an ever deepening intimate and covenantal relationship with God in Christ. The following general principles exemplify the foundation upon which the specific Standards are based.

BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES

1. We believe that humanity is created in the image of God. That image is reflected, in part, in our relational nature with its associated promises and perils (Genesis 1 and 2).

2. However, we now exist as a fallen race, subject to hurts, conflicts, and sin (Romans 3:23). Difficulties, trials, tribulations, and dilemmas are, therefore, normal and to be expected in a world that is not as it was originally created to be (Psalms 37:7; John 16:33; Romans 2:9).

3. We are to actively demonstrate the lordship of Christ in our lives by servant-like leadership, a sense of community, and a lifestyle that reflects the will, justice, mercy, and righteousness of God (Matthew 20:25-28; John 12:26; Colossians 3:12-17; 1 Peter 4:8-11, Micah 6:8).

4. Sanctification through the indwelling Holy Spirit is accomplished, in part, by the growth and maturity brought about by the conflicts, problems, trials, tribulations, and discipline that we experience (2 Corinthians 7:8-13a; 1 Thessalonian 5:18; James 1:2-4). Consistent with this growth process, we are to endeavor to become persons of increasing character and virtue.

5. We are to support and encourage each other (John 13:35; 15:17; Ephesians 4:32). When necessary, we are to admonish and confront each other, especially those Christians in positions of leadership and trust. However, such confrontation is to be constructive rather than judgmental, done in love, and with caution about our own shortcomings (Proverbs 27:5; Matthew 18:15-17; Galatians 6:1).

6. We are to reach out to others with love, concern, and mercy (Matthew 25:31-40; 2 Corinthians 1:3-7; Hebrews 13:16).

7. As Christian professionals, we are called to a position of responsibility and to honor those who have placed their trust in us (Luke 17: 1-38, 1 Cor. 4: 2).
